i have AVG installed and Prevx 1 for malware... and my computer is saying its not detecting any virus protection... do you think AVG and Prevx are canceling each other out? help please...

windows security center does not read avg as virus protection but you can keep it change youre settings the next time the baloon pops up or you can get avast home edition for free, which is the full version of the program free for home users. it has higher detection rates and more features than avg, therefore it is also more secure. windows secuirity center also recognizes it and you can get it from here http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

you do have to register to get a free serial number just enter youre email after clicking register.

Even you installed a virus protection, computer frequently asks to protect your computer from virus. There is a recommendation option in computers virus warning window. "I have my own virus program" check the box near this comment.

Windows XP is strange like that. Probably because it wants you to make sure that all your software are Microsoft products so it won't detect anything else.

well all u have to do is to reinstall ur avg frm grisoft.com. uninstall it 1st and reinstall and then reboot. it should be fixed now
