I have felt that way, not for very long, but sometimes when I feel pulled in different directions by loyalities to different people in my life, sometimes I wonder what it would be like to just up and go. Its a great fantasy but I don't think the reality would be any good. Every now and then I go away for a weekend which is sort of like running away and then I don't need to really do it!

I have four kids and a self centered husband. I lost my life thirteen years ago. I used to be smart. I used to read a lot. Now I sleep a lot. My kids are great...but I have the weight of responsibility for all of them all the time. I am depressed. I am fat. I can't go back to school...no one will help me with my kids, I literally live 2000 miles away from parents. One time I asked my mom if she could come out to baby sit...I offered to pay her way etc. She refused. My husband works 60 + hours/week. These past few days my kids have been out of school because of the weather. Another dad in the neighborhood came home from work about 4:30 and took his kids sledding. I cried for an hour because I knew my crap husband would NEVER do that. Too busy with his own crap. I volunteer on a committee..last Friday I was supposed to take the minutes of the meeting, only my husband called me too late and said he was going to be late. I got to the meeting late with all kids in tow...they were obnoxious. It was hard to take notes and keep track of my kids. I cried when I got home. I hate my husband. If he were more responsible I could have some hope of a life. I am plotting my revenge on him. If I left and stuck him with all the kids for the next 13 years I wonder how his mental state would be! I hate my life. I think about running away from it every second of every day.

Yes, although I think of it more as wishing there were a 'pause' button, so I could regroup and find some more energy to give, and then I could go on with life.

God yes! Recently, after some quite upsetting things regarding my boyfriend,I just wanted to hop on a plane and fly to Dallas. (Where I grew up.) But responsibilities keep me here.
