Yeah, all this terror alert stuff is pathetically useless. Are you going to delay going to the grocery store if it's orange? Would you say, "Hon, I know we're supposed to leave for our honeymoon to Hawaii today, but let's wait until the terror alert is yellow."
But on my SBC Yahoo mail, every other day I see the same, tired old line from John Murtha about the army being worn out and broken. That's just as bad.

What's the terror level??? I didn't know there was a terror danger until this question.
By the way I watch all those Large Corp. media... Your CNN,FOX, MSNBC and so on. They all report the same thing but with different tones and aggression towards specific things.... Meaning overall they are all the same.
Look outside the little box you live in. There is something beyond your doghouse.

mala,
Homeland Security Dept. did away with the whole "color code" thing...green, yellow, red. Folks could not relate to it, and after a while, it meant nothing...so, they re-did the system to indicate the true status.
I think from 9/11 on, it will always be "elevated"...

I think the terror alert just elevated while I was typing my original message and then I stopped and erased... oh! It just elevated again. I think we need to know every 30 seconds.

They also do that every 10 seconds in the airport. I wish tehy'd stop announcing it altogether. I mean, really, I get it, and other than that, what can I do? Accost every guy I see wearing a backpack? It's absurd.

The "terror alerts" are there to distract them from the blatant lies put forth on that network.
