9y^2 + 48y +64 = 0
You can use the FOIL method (First, Outside, Inside, Last), where sometimes you can "see" the factors or trial and error. This is actually a perfect square trinomial: (3y + 8)^2
So, applying the FOIL method (3y + 8)(3y + 8):
F: 3y * 3y = 9y^2
O: 3y * 8 = 24y
I: 3y * 8 = 24y
L: 8 * 8 = 64
add them together : 9y^2 + 48y +64

You can do the same thing for the other:
49t^2w^2 -169x^2y^4
(7tw - 13xy^2)(7tw +13xy^2)
F: 7tw * 7tw = 49ttww
O: 7tw * 13xy^2 = 91twxy^2
I: 7tw * (-13xy^2) = -91twxy^2
L: 13xy^2 * (-13xy^2) = -169xxyyyy
What is noteworthy here is that the -13xy^2 and the +13xy^2 being opposite signs cancel out the middle (the O and I) leaving:
49ttww - 169xxyyyy

Hope it helps.

I haven't done math in awhile, but I think the answer to both of them are no solution. The first one factors out to 16 = -64, which is untrue. And the second one I think is impossible.
