M'dear don't worry about it. You can't time the teeth. It's like growing, your body has spurts, it's apart of life. I'm sure the teeth will come in and in good time.
As for the "old wives tale" you can look at it in different ways.
I don't think the teeth are stronger.... but then again they could very well be. Every ones enamel is different, however the teeth to a point will be healthier. The reason behind that is because we expose our teeth to junk and sweets on a daily basis. So since your little ones teeth haven't yet been exposed to that his/her teeth will be healthier because they are still in there natural setting.
Hope this helps, but again DON'T worry! It's normal

Don't worry that she doesnt have as many teeth as everyone else. My son was a year before his first tooth cut through and hes 18mths and has a full set of teeth, beautiful smile I might add. My mom-in-law told me that the reason why they get their teeth late is because they either talked or walked early and oddly enough my son walked at early age by the time he was a year he was running. Like I said before, dont worry she is a normal child :) and she may have stronger teeth in the future as her adult teeth will take a little longer to come through!

Don't worry. Most kids get all their teeth by 2.5 years old. You still have a year and a half before you should worry!
Relax. There may be some truth to that old wives tale, but only because they have been less exposed to food and milk, etc. Make sure you are brushing your baby's teeth now and continue it, You don't need toothpaste, especially not ours, they can't have the fluoride. You can buy toddler toothpaste or just use a brush or facecloth to wipe your childs teeth.
Good luck!
Hope I've helped :)

I had a daughter that started teething late - but then she got them by the mouthful and was all caught up at 13 months.
I don't know anything about later being stronger...but they may seem that way because they were protected in the gums longer and no exposed to the milk/juice for as long a period of time...but I doubt a few months makes that much difference.

I don't know about that, but that is perfectly normal for your baby to have 2 teeth at that age, and now she's almost two and got over half of her teeth. But my nephew got a lot of his when he was 8/9 months. Every baby is different. My baby didn't really get her teeth in like that until she was after one, so don't be worried. They will have the majority of their teeth by age 2. So you can have a sigh of relief, there's nothing to be worried about

11 months old and 2 teeth is perfectly normal. Some kids don't get teeth until they are a year, or even a little older. Don't worry, they will come in!

Don't worry about it, some kids take longer to get their teeth than others. If she gets to 15 months and still has only 2 teeth you might want to talk to a doctor, but for now it's no big deal.

I don't think you need to be worried. All babies are different. My son had only two teeth for a long time, and then when he turn 10 months old they just started popping in left and right.
About getting them later and being stronger, I heard that before, so maybe its true.
I also heard if your baby takes longer to craw the sooner he or she would walk. Which that is what happen to my son, he didn't craw for very long, before I knew it he was walking.
