Does sharebuilder charge $15.97 per trade no matter how many shares are you buying or selling in each trade.

Do you get more profit from more shares or less shares. I started investing in shares and use sharebuilder. i bought 2 shares. They charge $15.97 per trade.at this time i am gaining only $1.00 per share. If i sell they will charge me $15.97 more. so in total they will charge me about $31 and i'll get only $2.00 per share profit.

Please help???

You get more profit if you buy more shares at a time. Example = for a trade of $100, you pay $15.97 which about 16% of your investment. Wait until you have $1000 to invest, and the $15.97 is only about 1.6% of your investment. Stop your limit orders and instead put in a market order for their regular tuesday buy time, and they will only charge you $4 to buy.

I've been using Sharebuilder for 3 years now. I use their upgraded plan and invest money every Tuesday. Each month I get 6 free trades for a $12.00 monthly fee.

If I decide any time during the week that I want to place a trade for somthing else I pay $14.95

Check out the fee schedule - an upgraded plan might be best for you.

You have selected the wrong choice of the trading house or you have selected wrong scheme of the trading house. This one time charge for the big investor and it is not for you. You went to that trading house who charge the brokerage on the value of the share at certain rate of percentage. You can provide me the name of the broking house and there different method of charging the brokerage so proper advice can be given to you. you can mail to me at nfc20006@yahoo.com
