are u pregnant? if u are then i suggest a small animal such as a bird,fish or something lese rather small until u give birth...If u arent pregnant then I would go for a smaller dog such as a yorkie,pomeranian,cocker spaniel etc. Or A bunny,those are my favorites and they are soo cute *a lot of mess to clean up though* so in essence i say a bunny,a smal dog or a kitten..have fun!

if you're pregnant (you did put this question in the "pregnancy" category), you should not handle rodents. they can possibly carry a disease that won't harm YOU much, but can cause some scary birth defects. also be careful with reptiles because of the chance of salmonella. and of course, no contact with cat litter, because of toxoplasmosis. so, my suggestion would be fish or a dog. good luck! :)

If you're pregnant, don't get a cat right now unless you have had them before. They can transmit a disease in the litter when you change it that may harm your baby. Get a fish tank. It will help you to relax, and nice for baby to look at.

Go get a kitten!! They're easy to litter box train and they give themselves baths. Dogs have to be let out all the time and they get quite and odor if not bathed regularly. Yuck!!
