The person selling can stop bidding any time, or when someone opts to "buy it now" for a pre-arranged price or the time on the auction runs out (7 or 10 days... whatever the seller has chosen)

Depends on how long they set the auction for - but the countdown clock work the same way - you can bid up until the very last second of the auction.

highest bid at end time on auction. look for time ending and the highest bid gets it. If a bid has been made you cannot cancel.

If it is "buy it now" as soon as someone buys it
If it is "best offer" as soon as the seller gets the offer they wanted
Otherwise when the time runs out...it will say on the page something like 7 days 6 hours 5 min, or whatever.
