No, but they're definitely lesser-crowded, especially during the off-season. I personally LOVE rainy days at Disneyland and DCA (Dis. Cali. Adven.). DCA is even less crowded than Disneyland on average anyway.

But you know what amusement park IS pretty much empty on a rainy day? Knott's Berry Farm (Buena Park, CA...about 10 minutes from Disneyland)!

It all depends. You obviously aren't going to find someone if it's a stormy day, because lightning can strike on most rides, maybe all of them, but they won't usually close on rainy days. They usually wait until the rain stops and if they think that there is a chance of lightning they either make you wait in line or tell you to go home. You can ask for you money back if you didn't actually have the chance to get on the rides.

They will not be empty, as in you are the only one there. However, they will be less crowded.

Another factor is if it is raining at Park Opening or it starts to rain during the day. If it is raining at Park Opening it will be a lot less crowded as it will keep people away. However, if it started to rain mid-day you may get a few people to leave, but a majority of them have already plunked down their money to get in and are not going to leave. They will just start to hit the inside rides and shops hoping for the rain to pass.

I've never been to those theme parks on damp, dark days, but I've been to Magic Mountain in January before. Both days were kinda dark and damp and the lines were very short.

One of the days was Super Bowl Sunday and my friend and I had the park to ourselves. It was a little rainy, but was WONDERFUL!

The next time the weather was dark and drizzly, and the lines were short.

Oh no - guests visit whether there is rain or shine. Purchase a poncho before you head to the parks and enjoy no matter what the weather!

I think so since it is no fun riding rides when it is raining, but most rides are open since it is indoors.
