OK, so I have had an IUD for about 2 1/2 years...I am not sure if there is something going on with it or what, but I need some help (never had problems before now).

The last two weeks, everytime me and my husband are intimate, something goes wrong...either very very heavy bright red bleeding or severe (localized, almost like pressure) pain in my lower abdomen/uterus area.

I would think it would have to have something to do with my IUD but I don't know what, I have checked it's placement and it is still there, but what could this mean?

Call the gyno now. It could be an infection, perforation, fibroid.......I don't know, you don't know and I am reasonably certain noone is going to be able to diagnose you properly on line.

You need to see the doctor and should probably hold off on sex until the doctor has had a chance to see you. If it hurts, it's probably not a good thing to do.

Good luck
