You are not even due for two more weeks! Pregnancy should last FORTY (40 weeks), and first-time mothers, on average, are pregnant 41 weeks plus one day. Thats the AVERAGE.
You are probably very uncomfortable, but I think you should wait it out. Baby will come when its ready. You have come this far, hang in there and let your baby finish developing!

U really shouldnt try to make labor come on just yet...u still have 2 weeks to go before 40 weeks hits..even though at 38 weeks u are considered full term,a lot can happen in 2 weeks..your baby will gain even more weight, get extra fat and better lung development...U should just wait until the 40 week mark and if u are still not in labor then try again, but right now the baby isnt ready to come..when the baby is ready thats when u start to get true contractions...u cant force him/her..just let him/her come when they are ready...good luck.

There really isn't anything you can do to bring on labor if your body and your baby aren't ready. Somewhere between 37-42 weeks is when you can expect a baby to be born, with 40 weeks being average. You aren't "over-due" so your baby just isn't ready yet. I had 4 babies all born past their due dates by 9 days, 11 days, 5 days and 7 days. I tried everything suggested - walking, sex, eating spicy food, driving down bumpy roads, scrubbing floors on my hands and knees (my grandma swore by this), but nothing worked to bring my labor on any faster. Every pregnant woman reaches that point in their pregnancy when they wish their baby would just come already, it's normal to want it to be over.

Please dont try to induce your own labor. If your labor hasnt started yet....its because the baby isnt ready to come out.! I know it may seem uncomfortable but just a few more weeks you can bare please. Get off the black cohosh and mineral oil. So bad for you, and I dont care what you read about it. Your baby will come in due time. I know you didnt want to hear this but from one Mum to another soon to be Mum, give your baby a fighting chance to come out on it's own will. God Bless

I am a mother of 4 children. Really when it is time for the baby to come, the baby will come. Not before. Keep her/him in as long as you can. Anywhere between 38 and 42 weeks. The baby will be here before you know it. Good luck.

Sorry those are all wives tales. Labor will start when your baby is good and ready to come. You could go as long as 42 weeks and still not be consider overdue. I would talk with your dr, but there really isn't anything short of medical intervention to unduce labor. Good luck.

When your baby's lungs are fully developed. Your body will release a hormone that triggers labor. Until then all you are doing is possibly harming your baby with this stuff... black cohosh, and mineral oil. Be patient you are almost there.

honey enjoy your last few days of no crying, fixing bottles, and changing diapers. That child will come soon enough. Whats the big hurry. Oh yeah I know you will probable be ready to come the next after giving birth but if they offer to let u stay 2 days take it. Let them wait on u hand and foot because when u get home u will have that little one and u will have to wait on him/her hand and foot

STOP NOW - you could potentially harm your baby !! They come when they want to and are ready. When they don't, we have a little thing called a c-section to get them out before the placenta stops working well but NO OBGYN WORTH A DARN would induce you or do a c-section BEFORE 40 WEEKS unless there was a DANGEROUS MEDICAL CONDITION prompting them to do so to save you or the baby.
Call your OBGYN and tell him/her everything you have taken so far and stop taking anything else.
AND DON'T TAKE ANYTHING UNLESS YOUR OB TELLS YOU TO

Aside from medical interference there is only 1 thing which induces labour............time, be patient, it'll happen soon enough. The orgasms and eating curry are good though, they won't bring it on but you'll have fun while you are waiting.
