You can check out the mitochondrial DNA or Y chromosome DNA. That tells you which world group is (loosly) related to you on your maternal or paternal lineage.
It would be hard to use it to single out one race, because heaven forbid, you or those on your team could be on it! (it tracks down from 10 to 60 thousand years).

Nothing specific identifies Race, however there are specific traits and markers that are more prevalent within a specific race. I disagree with the mitochondrial DNA answer because this is only from the mother the fathers father or mother could be of a different race than the mother and the mitochondiral DNA would not represent this because the father has not input

Well, we ARE all different in spite of what some radicals want us to believe. Men are different than women, blacks are different than whites who are different from asians etc. These differences are sometimes obvious as in the color of ones skin or the shape of ones body. But all differences are encoded in our individual DNA. There is no mistaking one person from another if all you have is a small piece of their person like a hair or fleck of skin from which DNA can be extracted. As for a weapon that can make this determination, no. It takes too long for the test to run its course so any weapon would be useless long before the target moved and would have to be found again. Not going to happen.
