I felt that he was wonderful... I hate how he got the stereotype as a "Little Ruben" because he is nothing like Ruben but is twenty times better than Ruben... Jimmy sings like angel!

Simon said "he looks a little like Ruben..when Ruben used to smile"...that's what he said, not "Little Ruben". And the "when he used to smile" business meant that Ruben USED to be happy but now is NOT!
Anyway, I thought he had a great set of pipes and yes, he does sing like an angel.

He had me from hello...his smile makes him so engaging, I like Ruben, but I do feel Jimmy is much more interesting and using the term 'Little Ruben" is an oxymoron...like "jumbo shrimp"...LOL

I think he is awesome. I graduated with him from Waxahachie High and he was great even then. Every time he sings, it gives me chills. He has always had that effect on me and all the girls that used to hang around him. We were in choir together and let me tell you, he has always been on the top. His personality is great and he is very down to earth and always finds a friend in any crowd. There is never a dull moment when Jimmy is around. I think he has great potential in going far in this competition and I know that I will be rooting for him all the way. GO JIMMY!!!

Well, I know the guy. He has raw talent that has been fine tuned by a great music program.
