If you got the option of doing jailtime at the weekend is it worth it or does it just mean that the jail time goes on for much longer?

Back in court for a first DUI on Friday. Just wondering what people think of this - I have been looking for a job and have an offer but can't start until I know what's happening on Friday. Is it just for people who already have jobs and get short sentences or is it an option if they think you should get jail but see that your trying to get back on track.

I broke my parole by getting the DUI so I'm probably looking at going back for a good while but am just thinking about it. I know some people get it for DUI.

This is a horrible idea. Jail isn't about being convenient for you and your job. If you wanted your job that badly and if you wanted to stay out of jail that much, you wouldn't have been on parole int he first place and you especially wouldn't have broken your parole. Grrrrrrr.

I am not entirely sure that I understand your question but you broke your parole and I think in USA your case sucks. I think that you are saying that no two people are treated the same and so on. If you can afford it, you can go on the run and leave your so called offence behind.

If you go to jail and have a job you could get work release then report back to jail- but you need to show proof you have a job. Good Luck.
