If this is your first baby you probably won't start to notice any leaking from your breasts till your last trimester and then it will only be small amounts. This is actually not milk but colostrum. This special milk is yellow to orange in color and thick and sticky. It is low in fat, and high in carbohydrates, protein, and antibodies to help keep your baby healthy. Your breast milk won't actually come in until a few days after your baby is born. (varies from 3rd-6th day). It is common for moms at this stage to leak lots of milk although some women never experience any leaking at all (anfd this is normal too). Good luck and hug away!

Throughout your pregnancy, your body will produce an early form of breast milk called colostrum. It may or may not leak out before your baby is born. I breast fed 4 babies and never experienced leaking breasts when I was pregnant. In the first few days of your baby's life, colostrum is what she will drink if you breast feed. It is high in nutrients and antibodies. It is so beneficial that even if you only breast feed for a few weeks it will give your baby a great start. Mature breast milk can take anywhere from 1-5 days to "come in" depending on how often your baby nurses in those first few hours and days of her life. It is not likely that you will leak enough colostrum to get a wet shirt while pregnant. If you do find yourself leaking colostrum, it is normal, and you can buy breast pads to wear inside your bra to absorb leaks.

I am 29 weeks and haven't started producing any yet. I think any point from about 6 months onwards is normal, but not at 17 weeks.
Even when you do produce it, it is unlikely to produce a big wet patch - you might just notice some dried liquid on your breast.

Your body won't begin to produce milk until after the baby is born. Even then, the first liquid to appear will be a clear fluid called colostrum. Throughout the time that you are breast feeding your body will change the type of milk that it produces to fit the baby's needs. You needn't worry about any leakage until after the child is born.

Fluid can leak from your breasts throughout pregnancy. This fluid, called colostrum, is clear and tastes sweet. It is also called “pre-milk” and is your baby’s first nutrients if you decide to nurse. Your actual breast milk won’t come in until a day or two after your baby is born.
I found this on a site called smartmomma
but I also read this in books and was also told this by my doctor so its pretty full proof ;)
good luck with everything
hope this helped u out

Your colostrum could come through at any time but your 'real' breast milk will come through the 3rd day after pregnancy. Best off getting a few packs of breast pads as it's embarrassing being caught out lol.

Your milk usually doesn't come in until about 2 or 3 days after the birth of your baby. If you leak beforehand it just Colostrum...it will enough for the baby until your milk comes in.

I am currently 34 weeks and I just last night I noticed my breast leaking milk. So closer to your due date. Some people don't experience leaking of their milk though so just to be on the safe side once you get to your third trimester get you some pads to go in your bra for those just in case of times.
