So it is my first pregnancy and other than on here, the only person I have told is my husband (although he already new). So, I am asking for all the advicer I can get from you guys (and you are all fabulous). Do any of you get tired of hearing about it? I thought I knew so much about pregnancy and babies and now that it is happening to me I just worry and pray everyday that my little guy (or girl) will make it through this next nine months and be healthy.

Thanks to those pros who help us newbies on our way.

Linda,

My opinion...

I NEVER tire of well-written, intelligent questions posted by someone who is truly concerned for their and their baby's safety and well-being. In that regard, I will always welcome your questions.

Now...what frustrates me...

Are all the "Should I Take A Pregnancy Test" questions I see time and again, posted by folks who, for lack of better words, have no business having sex, much less sex without protection. This, I understand is not likely to change...however, with all the Public Service Ads and condom commercials prevalent on stations that cater to the young, it's hard for me to believe that these folks are just totally ignorant.

Sorry...it tries my patience.

I started taking care of babies when i was 15. I use to baby sit a 5 month old little girl who i adored. Then when i was 16 i started helping my brother with his baby from the time he was 4 weeks old. Then when i was 18 and had my first baby i was absolutely clueless!! My husband took a week off from work just to stay home with us and help me out. He was wonderful! I don't know why but when ever i get around newborns i freeze up and don't have a clue to what I'm doing. 3yrs later and my second child will be born in 2 more months and i can't even remember what it was like with my first. I know it will all come back to me and i always have advise for friends, i guess it's normal for us all to feel this way.
I'm not sure if i answered right but i do know where your coming from.

Unless you feel something is wrong, the best thing you can do is take your vitamins, eat right, and shop. Make sure the store you're at has a public restroom! The baby and you will be just fine. Sit back and relax. Your body and the baby know what to do.

If you think something is wrong, don't hesitate to call your doctor. That's what they're there for. They won't mind a ton of annoying Q's too much.

Don't ever be afraid to ask questions. Having a baby is new and exciting and scary all at the same time. There are so many new experiences and things to learn about. One great book that I would reccomend is "The Pregnancy Book" by William Sears it is really helpful. The most important thing though is relax enjoy your pregnancy, gets lots of sleep and eat well. The most important thing I can say about baby care is to trust yourself and listen to your baby! Good luck!
