No. I was hit allot as a pup and all it did was ruin the relationship with my parents and I. I believe in much more subtle way of punishment as opposed to actually hitting. How can you strike someone you love? I would never hit my girlfriend, why would I hit a child?

Yes. I was more than spanked when I was little, and although some might disagree I've turned out ok. But I also believe that to each his own. Those who don't believe in spanking thats ok too. No one has the right to try to tell others how to raise their children. Don't tell me that I am wrong for spanking mine, and I won't tell you that you should spank yours.

Yes, if they do something wrong that was unacceptable,the spanking is a punishment.There is a difference to an occasional spanking to a I'm going to beat you til you bleed type of punishment.

yes but not child abuse in any way. good friends of mine ask their 7 year old daughter when she starts misbehaving " Sweetheart, which do you want a spanking or a hug and kiss ? " She realizes She has done something wrong so stops as She always prefers a hug and kiss.

Yes..when they deserve it..
nothing is wrong with spanking a child..just as long as it doesn't go as far as leaving bruises. Then you've crossed the line into abuse.

Not really. My son is a pretty good boy and doesn't warrant it. My daughter on the other hand should have gotten spanked more, she is near impossible sometimes.

Nope You wouldn't hit your spouse, friend, boss etc. if they did something wrong or made you angry why then do people feel it's okay to hit a small child?
