The consecutive integers could be represented as n-1, n, and n+1, and their sum is 3n. So divide 222 by 3 -- you get 74. So your 3 numbers are 73, 74, and 75.

let the consecutive numbers be x, x +1 and x + 2
therefore

x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 222
3x + 3 = 222
3x = 222- 3
3x = 219
x = 219 / 3
x = 73

therefore the consecutive numbers that add up to 222 are 73, 74 and 75.

Divide the dumber by three.

then add one and subtract one from the result.

This will give you three successive numbers that sum up to your original number.

example. 222 / 3 = 74 ( remember this means 74+74+74 = 222)
so 73, 74, 75 The one taken off of 73 is added to 75 so it doesn't change the total

let the consecutive numbers be {x;(x+1);(x+2)}

x+(x+1)+(x+2)=222

x+x+x+3=222

3x=222-3=219

x=219/3=73

so the three consecutive numbers are 73;74;75

It is an AP
Let first no. b 'a'
Common difference='d'=1 bcoz they are Consecutive no.
no.of term=n=3
sum of no.= n/2{2a+(n-1)d}
then, 3/2{2a+(3-1)1}=222
then, 1.5{2a+2}=222
then, 3{a+1}=222
then, a+1=222/3
then, a+1=74
a=73
no.s r 73;74;75
