If the YELLOW school bus lights are flashing, SLOW DOWN (not more than 10mph) and proceed with caution.

If the RED school bus lights are on and the STOP arm is open, STOP at least 25 feet for children's safety, on both sides of the road, unless the road/highway is divided by a raised barrier. then the cars moving in the opposite direction of the bus do not have to stop, but they should always use caution for our children's safety. School bus has at least 20 feet of blind spot on all sides, at all times even when stopped

If the bus has the hazzard lights/4-way lights blinking, slow down and proceed with caution. For example at a railroad track.

I was a NJ School Bus driver and I am sorry to say, there are always at least 1 driver a day who doesn't follow the rules and think about our children's safety.

I got a ticket for passing a school bus that was on the opposite side of the street in a parking lot of a mini-mart along the street.

$460.00. Don't pass a school bus if the lights are flashing!!

what the hell? the bus is only pulled over and the driver has to on the hazard lights and keep the hazard reflector some meters back away and there should be a student or a bus conductor standing alongwith it with a red traffic light indicator like a long tube ... like those cartoon swords in star wars kinda ... red and white flashing is better, more hightech the light sword ... the more better, then keep flashing it and guiding the way for the other motorists.

The bus must have its lights flashing, and its stop sign extended. If its just pulled over, stopped you can pass it.
