Buy a second hard drive, move all the movies to the new hard drive. Then reformat the old one.

I would back-up your files to a 200 Gbyte USB 2.0 external drive which costs about $100 nowadays. You can also store an image of your C drive using Norton Ghost backup software. Then once you've gotten your PC restored to your desired configuration, you can also store an image of your new C drive for future backup and restore purposes.

My recommendation, buy a DVD drive. They aren't that pricy these days, and the DVD's hold 4 Gig each. I reformatted my computer last fall, and did this. My files all work fine, and my computer is running smoothly.

Oh, and all my backing up? It took me about 2 hours, and I didn't have to buy or download any fancy software.

I would suggest getting an external drive as a backup for important documents, videos, music, etc..

I have a 40GB external harddrive from Walmart that wasn't very expensive. All of my music, etc.. is on it. Windows crashes too frequently so this is probably a good idea.

You can save them in a USB or flash disc.
It's better to give your pc in a specialist tell him to save them, so he will put them in his hard drive and then back in your computer.
