Throughout the entire show, you realize that jack bauer is a person who can not be happy. It is hard for him to live a happy life, and even when he does, it always gets interupted.

Yes. If you've watch 24, you KNOW they'll kill anyone on the show. Jack is no exception. They realistically could keep this show going without the Jack Bauer character. Would it be as good? Probably not, but it's feasible that the show could go on with a new agent.

I don't think they will as they are hoping to have a movie franchise of this once the show ends, they are no longer planning a 24 movie until the show ends, so they will need to keep him alive if they want that to happen.

I think he will probably die saving someone elses life or doing something else heroic. Remember he won't die unless it is for something.
