Yip, totally. The break is there for you to have your period, and you are totally covered (unless you have been messing around with your pill).

So no worries, just have fun! :-)

Yes you are protected on the inactive pills. SInce you have questions yet you need to research birth control pills more online or consider going back to your doctor to get all your questions answered. Your doc didn't do a very good job when he prescribed them though or he would have told you all about how to take them and when you are protected and all the other info he was supposed to tell you. Just an FYI but the next time you need any kind of med from the doc if he doesn't tell you all about what it is for, how to take and the side effect and when it should start working then SPEAK UP BEFORE YOU LEAVE HIS OFFICE.

YES! You should have seven pills that are a different color than the rest of your pills. These are mostly just iron pills. During the time that you are taking the last seven pills of your packet you should be on your period. And no, you cannot get pregnant during that time. My best advice is to read the literature that comes with your pills. It should answer all of your questions.

Yes, as protected as you were with the contraceptives. But, remember contraceptive pills are only about 98% accurate. So, there is always that small chance of still getting pregnant.

Geez, this again?
The nurse or prescribing Dr. was supposed to educate you about using the pills and it's potential side effects/risks. What is wrong with these so-called professionals???

Yes, you are protected. The 7 day break is when you should get your period. Remember to start up again on the correct day.

You need to wait at least one month before you are fully protected after starting the pill. After that, you should be fine. Usually you have your period during the seven day break. You have the break so you can continue your period each month.

yes you have my word.. ive been on it for years :)

if you are taking microgynon you should have taken your first pill on the first day of bleeding ... if so, you are protected straight away and can start having unprotected sex. it says so on the leaflet you get with the tablets.. have a good read of it so you know exactly what it is that you're taking and what it does

During the seven day break you should experience your 'period'. As far as I know that means your ok. Although I think the advice used to be not to risk it for 2 months.

Simple answer yes. If the doctor who prescribed the pill to you was ever giving the average amount of advice he should have explained this to you!
