I am trying to restrict some incoming calls to my cellphone.

I tried but then it asks me for a restriction code. I tried one 3 times and now it's locked. my service provider tells me the restriction code is not provided by the service provider but I should insert one myself. CAN ANYBODY HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!

Ok, it;s not the security code I need, but the call barring or restriction code and it's supposed to be a 4 digit code and my Service Provider says it is not for them to give but I should invent one myself,although I find this hard to believe.

HELP ME PLEASE!

the restriction code in every nokia, if you didnt change it, is always 12345

turn it off, then turn it back on.
if the code is still there, take it in to cingular or whatever your company's name is, they'll replace it for free the first time this happens! the problem is your SIM card. it locked you out.

Call your provider back and tell them you need a PUK code.
