It really depends on how much coverage you need & what you are looking for. I would suggest going to the Prescriptives counter at Macys and having one custom blended for you.

The best liquid foundation I have used is MAC. It will not make you look to oily and won't cause you to break out. While it is a little more costly than some others, it is worth it!
For a powder foundation, you should go with Bare Escentuals. I love their products, even more than MAC. And there foundation even contains a natural SPF, can't beat that. Hope this helps.

Use Bare Escentuals Makeup- handsdown the best on the planet! All mineral (powder form) superior coverage when used with the Kabuki brush- well worth the money- never breaks you out - it can actually clear up your skin- it feels like nothing is on your skin- has a natural SPF 15 in it- less is more with this makeup. Learn the technique and you will never use anything else. They sell it as Sephora- there are some BE boutiques across the U.S. look at their website. Bareescentuals.com. they also sell it on QVC- they teach you so many tricks when you watch it on QVC- the BE boutiques have over 200 eyeshadow colors - if you are near a boutique its worth your trip.
