I feel so bad for the guy! Why are so many people treating him like he is a horrible guy or something? We don't know this person! Hey, I have screwed up at my job. I can't imagine mis-filing something at the office, and 150 million people wanting to punch me or calling me a jerk for it! Cut the guy some slack!

I agree with you with your question. Rex Grossman doesn't need all the criticism he's been receiving lately & it's time that all need to cut this guy some slack for once. Sure, his team lost the Super Bowl & who are they blaming for it? The quarterback, & it happens to be Rex Grossman. It's not his fault that he didn't play well in the Super Bowl, some of the members of his team should share their part of the blame for the loss & admit that they didn't do very well in the plays they made. We all make mistakes & we learn from them & in time Rex Grossman will learn from this & will move on like the rest of us should. Some people who say nasty things about him right now are a bunch of idiotic trolls who don't have lives to live & want to make their point of views by saying rotten things to some famous people. Those people don't know how to move on & that's a sad shame.

I don't like him because he is a Florida Gator and ALL Florida Gator's suck. He was receiving a lot of criticism due to the fact that he is not a Super Bowl caliber quarterback. He was surrounded by a great team that ultimately made it to the big one but in the end I would bet a large sum of money he never makes it back. He's just not that good.

In a high profile sport you have to set your guard for public criticism. In any situation where the reward is great (i.e., winning the super bowl) the opposite is equally true. This is how all players, celebrities, and politicians are treated. Deal with that!

Why blame it all on Rex? What about the Coach who didn't put the back-up in? See the HEAD COACH has to be willing to make that call. Lovie Smith WASN'T. It was well known that even if they were down 45-0 and Rex threw 10 INTS he would still be in the game. Nothing short of Aliens abuducting him or injury was going to get Rex out. So why all the blame just on him? Yeah his first full year as QB and helps the team get to the SB. Oh that game they won where his rating was 0, when was that. They won when he had a rating of 1.3 but I think that was the worst.

For all you "sports fans" who think you know about football, shut it. Rex Grossman had 4 bad game. 7 Great games, and the others were average games. This is his first full year as a started and he went to the super bowl. Mannings first year, hmmm i think he threw like 8 more ints and only 3 more TD's. he had a worse Pass rate than rex did. John Elway sucked his first few times in the SB and finally won one. And if it wasnt for REX G, the bears WOULD HAVE LOST TO SEATLE, SO STFU. You are all reading whatever the papers and tvs say instead of wathcing this kid. He is young, has talent, and he will be good. You are all obliviuos to the way football should be played. He is a fighter, he will go out and try to win games, why? Because that is what football is all about, not "playing it safe". Ask Brett Favre. He tries to win games. he will lose a couple, but you want him there because he gives you the best chance to win. So rex lost his first SB game. Hey retards, he got there didnt he? Where did you QB end up? Ok if your PM fans than fine, but he didnt do **** during the game. He was not the MVP of the game and everyone knows. Why was he? because people felt bad for him because he hasnt won anything in his life. That TD pass to harrison. Does anyone realize that it was about 10 yards underthrown? Harrison had to run back for it? Ya, had an INT written all over it, except blown defense ruined it. That is why they lost the game. 191 yrds rushing ruined it. The fact that rhodes rushed for over 100 yards the FIRST TIME THIS YEAR on the defense. So anyways, that pass rex threw to BB and was picked off, that should have been the same thing for PM if the defense didnt blow it. the reason the ball was short for both guys is because of weather. You have 3-4 sec to get rid of it and you dont think about what rain will do to it in the air, and it dropped the ball down. just like PM ball. SO to all you people who think rex lost the SB and who think rex is bad, go know the real facts cuz you guys dont know ****

and the kid above me, you dont put in your backup qb in the SB, thats a rule. that is retarded and pointless so your dumb too.

Do you know that there was talk and rumor that Heidi and Spencer were going to plan a fake breakup and then a big todo about getting back together so they could have some attention. They were denying an denying it in the press an all of a sudden on the finale she is leaving him. Yay right, I dont feel sorry for him. He is an ***. But I think it looked fake and I dont think that really looked as though they were too hurt.

I have to agree with you. It is a team sport. Peyton Manning didn't win the game all on his own and Rex Grossman didn't lose it on his own. Last year Jeff Garcia couldn't buy a job and now every one thinks he is great. Manning wouldn't of looked great if he had played in the Super Bowl in his first full year of starting. Lay off the guy and give him a break.

You know...I have mixed feelings about Grossman. I sort of feel bad but I sort of don't. He IS the quarterback of his team, and did get to the Superbowl, but he isn't the leader of the Bears (Urlacher is). The defensive unit got them to the Superbowl. Do I need to mention the game where Rex had a QB rating of 0...and the Bears still won, thanks to Urlacher and the defense. Then again, when the pressure was on Rex, he did choke, he had the chance to go out and shut down the red-hot Colts defense and didn't. So do I feel bad for Rex, no. He didn't win the Superbowl, but it wasn't his to win or lose, it was the Chicago defense's to win or lose...and they lost.

if you were paid 8 million dollars to file papers, you may have a bunch of people on your back for doing it badly.
For Rex's "first season" he did a pretty good job, hopefully he will continue to get better, and the Bears can move on to building a super bowl WINNING team for next year. It's good that we are in the NFC, so there's a good chance of a repeat.

no, we aren't saying he is a bad person. But the Bears had the talent to win the super bowl, and any halfway decent quarterback could have brought it home with that kind of defense and devin hester on your side. When it comes to pro football, especially the super bowl, you have to show up, and he definitly didnt

I think that he had a rough game and that's a bad time to have one in the Superbowl. I'm a colts fan but he looked really bad especially when he fumbled it through his own legs. Everyone messed up in the game but he just did it at really bad times oh well i'm glad who won
