On the side I tend to have a chart of each box. I write out all 9 numbers and I cross out which ones they can't be. Then I look at the possible numbers and see if any of them are unique to a row or box.

Start by going through each digit one at a time.
For example, work on just the 1s first, then the 2s, 3s and so on.
Don't stop until you have done all 9.

Next, look for lines which only have a few spaces and see if you
can fill those.

Finally, count only the numbers in one 3x3 grid and work on those.

Patience is the key and remember - it's supposed to be fun so don't stress out too much if you get stuck.

Make sure you don't repeat any numbers in any row or column. Also, the board is divided into squares where 1-9 fit and the numbers shouldn't be repeated in those either. If you get stuck in a hard puzzle, test out a number that could be right by writing it in pencil, if it doesn't work try another. Some people write down all the numbers in each square that could possibly fit and then narrow them down.

ok i usully get on millsberry and play sudoku there so here are some tips
1. work in one box at a time
2. if there are no moves or you cant figure it out go to a different box
3. set a goal to get the puzzle done in a certain ammount of time
if you follow those tips you will be great
