My dad just came home from work, terribly ill. This is unusual for him :/ He's vomiting, and has the diareha. He keeps coughing.

He's laying in bed because his stomach is hurting.

What can i do?! Please help! I'm scared.. what could be wrong?

When the stomach decides it's upset, it's best to let it run its course. Make sure to weigh him each day to make sure he doesn't lose a lot of water (dehydration). If he does get dehydrated, you can take him to a medical facility and get an IV. I had two of those after a marathon, they were great!
Either a stomach flu or some bad food; it should pass or dramatically improve in a couple of days. If not, go to the doctor!

He probebly has the stomach flu whenever there is flow from both sides...alway be on the BRAT diet...Banana/Rice/Apple Sauce/toast (dry) it really helps u get some food in the belly...if u want to drink something..only clear liquids like Tea/water/ also gatorade..BUt only in sips not big gulps and very slowly or you will throw up...it probebly will last for 24 to 48 hrs...wait till the diarehha stops...Don't eat any oily or spicy foods for the next 4 to 5 days ....just soups/toast with honey helps too....

Ginger is excellent for nausea (not the dried powder). Ginger beer is better than ginger ale. The best is to take about a teaspoon of chopped, fresh ginger root (available at any grocery store) and let it steep in boiling water for a couple of minutes. You can add some honey to improve the taste. Also, when he stops vomiting, have him sip (tiny sips) of gatorade. There is a stomach virus that is going around this winter...
