battery last about 5 years (if it is a good one) yours is running on prayer now. Should be bright green. You need another battery. Get one with lots of cranking amps. If your car standard battery is 675 Amps get 800 or more. Starter does the same thing or just nothing at all. Blame the battery first.
And it really does not matter how much it is to install, you need a battery.

Batteries normally last anywhere from 3 to 8 years. Depending on where you go installation can be anywhere from free to around $20. The average cost will be somewhere from 39-69.
The eye does not mean good or bad simply if the battery has voltage or not. Dark means no voltage and green means voltage. If you take it to a parts store they should be able to charge it and test it.
Normally when the starter goes bad you will here a clicking noise coming from solenoid. On that honda the solenoid will be right on the starter.
edit-
As JoJo said the colder the weather the more power a battery needs to start the car. At 32 degree it usually about 50% more power. Which is why when you look at the battery it has Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) and Cranking Amps (CA) both listed. Normally the CCA will be 100 amps or so lower

I ran a shop for 10 years . If the battery hasn't been replaced in three years it's toast anyway. Go ahead and replace it. Auto zone will sell you a battery for around $50-80 dollars, depending on which one you choose and what kind of warranty you will want, and it is very simple to install. If you feel that installing it yourself is not an option, ask the guy there if he will do it for you. Some of them even have a service area, and the installation is either very reasonable, or included. if you have them do it, ask them to rule out the possibility of a bad alternator. If after the battery is installed and you still have an issue, check out the starter, or alternator, but your problem is more than likely, a simple battery issue fixed for under $100. Hope this helps.

if your car don't start then start does not mainly mean your battery is going out..you may have a short in your battery so make sure your alternator is not causing it..just start your car remove the positive post..if your car fails to stay on your alternator is no good..if it stay on it's good.if you think it's your starter..most places like autozone will check it for free.some cars come with built in solenoids then you gotta replace it..if it don't all you gotta do is replace the solenoid which is attached to the starter which is cheaper than buying a whole new one..but your problems sound to me like the starter so in the future if your car don't start bang the stater with a stick or hammer to get the spring unstuck just to at least get you home or your nearest auto mechanics shop.

Most batteries will have trouble starting in very cold weather after about 3 years.

take it to an auto zone parts store..they will check the battery for you free and install one for free as well...they can also check the alternator to see if it's charging...intermittent starts could also be the ECM module under the distributor cap
