Raoul or the Phantom? From what I've seen in the film version, where Christine kisses the Phantom and says she isn't afraid of him any longer and that he isn't alone, did she mean it or did she say it for the sake of saving Raoul?

But she did give him back his ring.. so I'd just like to confirm who did she really love?

Christine Daae loved Raoul. I think she said she wasn't afraid of the Phantom any longer but she didn't love him. She was engaged to Raoul and only wanted to keep it a secret from the Phantom for fear that he would hurt her.

I so damn love this show... I saw it in London, in New York and in Hartford... and can't wait to see it again...

Ok.... She LOVED raoul, and loved the Phantom... but she loved the phantomm because he had that dark, sexual, daring, evil side, that she had never seen before.... it was all seduction really, but when she left the trance at alst she saw the phantom LOVED her but she did not want all that jelousy and murder in her life... it was killing her, so she gave up phantom, to be with a gentler person... RAOUL her TRUE love... but don't get me wrong she did love the Phantom, but not enough to stay with a jelous paranid wacko...

Raoul was her love, but the Phantom was the dangerous one she probably always dreamed about. She loved them both, but in the end she chose Raoul. She was definately one to fight over though.

She was in love with Raul. She did love the Phantom, but not romantically.
