Hello,
I used the pill for years before I experienced spotting, so that's not particularly odd. Also, your hormone levels can change over time and that means your body will treat and react with the hormones in the pill differently. The fever/cough/tired/etc sounds like a plain old cold and it is probably just a coincidence.
FYI, implantation bleeds occur approximately 3-5 days after ovulation (which should not occur while on the pill) and fertilization. The main symptoms with pregnancy (especially the first one) include very sore, swollen breastsand extreme fatigue.
You could take a home pregnancy test - get an "early" one that would work 2 days before missed period. If it's negative, you're probably fine BUT you may want to have your OBGYN test you and do a pelvic exam to be sure. You don't want to be taking bc pills if you are pregnant.
Good luck

I think you're being overly paranoid about pregnancy. Even if you use no form of protection whatsoever and ovulate regularly each month and have sex around the ovulation day, there's a mere 30% chance that you will actually give birth in the end (i.e. the average couple trying to get a baby need to try 3-4 months before she falls pregnant). Only a small fraction of pregnant women will continue to have periods during pregnancy. In your case, having missed no pill (and I assume you were taking all of them at the right time) probably means no ovulation at all, plus you also got your period when it was expected, so your chances of being pregnant are infinitely small.
Colds are never a sign of pregnancy so that is totally unrelated.
The breakthrough bleeding, on the other hand, is somewhat worrying, especially if you are a long-term pill-user and allow breaks for periods. It might have something to do with temporary hormonal fluctuations (related to stress or even the cold), but it might also have some physical cause (eg. a polyp or fibroids).
It is most likely not implantation bleeding because that normally occurs ca. 14 days before your period is due (that is when you would ovulate). If your period does not settle back to normal after a month and you keep getting spotting, you should see a doctor and get a pap smear. A lot depends also on how old you are, how regular your periods were before you went on the pill (i.e. how prone your body is to random hormone fluctuations), and how long you've been on the pill. If any bleeding/spotting seems to be caused by sexual intercourse then you should definitely see a doctor as soon as possible.
If you are still worried about pregnancy, take an over-the-counter pregnancy test, but remember that the result may not reliable in the first days and the fact that you are taking the pill might affect the result too - I'd suggest you book an appointment with a doctor, it's never bad to get checked anyway.

All of your cold symptoms are not a pregnancy, just a cold, and your bleeding and spotting being that you are taking the pill, could be your body's way of of an adjustment to the pill depending on how long you've been taking it or your body's way of a defense of the cold being that your body was changing for your period to start. You are so worried about being pregnant also, it could stress you out and change your body's reactions and change your cycle. Are you completely sure that you really do ot want to be pregnant just a little? I think actually you kinda do want to be from this. I know you are worried, but I think your only solution is to take a test after your period ends, then take the test to be sure. I think your body is just adjusting to your cold at this time, but you will never know until you take the test. Good Luck!

I have only gained 13 pounds can't even tell I am about to pop out a baby. I hope you have the same luck I did and have a good healthy pregnancy congratulations.

You have signs of being pregnant and the spotting before your period could have been from the implant. The only sure way to know is to take a test and to it as soon as possible. Even if the test comes out negative u should contact your doctor. You never know this could be nothing or it could be something you need to take action for. A friend of a friend was on the pill and we went to see her doc one day for a standard check up and found out she was 5 months pregnant. She never had a single sign of being pregnant.

Personally I don't think so (cold symptoms and stuff are not really symptoms of pregnancy - you might be tired all the time because you're sick anyway). However there's chance to get pregnant on the pill (I know quite a lot of people who actually did) so I would run to the store and grab a pregnancy test or two and do it asap. If you're pregnant you shouldn't take the pill anymore.

Though chances are not great, it is still possible to be pregnant. To put your mind at ease buy a test and find out for sure, its better than worrying. Whats strange about your situation is, when I got pregnant I got sick with a cold too, when my cold was gone I took a test and found out I was pregnant, however I was not on any form of birth control and was trying for a baby.

Go to the store and buy a pregnancy test. If it comes up negative and you for some reason don't belive it, go to Planned Parenthood. They don't do the HCG tests so they're testing is 100%.
Honestly, it's hard for anyone on here to help you. As we're not your uterus.
Just wanted to point out that RikWilson has no idea what they were talking about and they were just fishing for their 2 points. Their comment was dumb and it irked me.

When there is actual bleeding..there is no pregnancy because that mean that the ovarian wasn't feconted (the sperm didn't penetrate the ovarian) so I guess you are just passing by a phase and it uselly happend when over tired...the best way to confirm is to chech with the pregnency test you can buy it over the compter they so accurte nowdays...good luck

The only way to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test... chances are you are not pregnant because you are on the pill....but give yourself some peace of mind and test... the sooner you know... the better.
