It is hard to give you an exact number. You can figure that they get paid anywhere from 300 - 500 to appraise a house. So if they do 1000 appraisals in a year then they can make some good money. I would search online to see what the average income is for an appraiser.

What type of appraiser? Real Estate? Jewelry? Antiques?

Assuming you mean Real Estate, it depends on how many homes you appraise per year. The broker at my firm gets 100% of the fees from his appraisals. The secondary appraiser gets 25% of the fees from her appraisals, with the last 75% going to the broker. Each appraisal costs roughly $300. I'd say they do about 5 per week. That works out to be about $20,000 per year for the secondary appraiser (who is also a Realtor, so she makes a lot more than appraisal money) and it means about $80,000 for the Broker.
