Remember when Tyra would preach to her Top Model contestants about gaining weight? Some of these girls didn't even look like they were gaining any weight! Now the tables have turned and suddenly it is cruel for other people to make her feel bad for for gaining weight?
What comes around goes around Tyra! I think you should kiss the top model's butts that you were harsh to when they put on a few extra pounds!

well out of fairness to her she is no longer a model so she can be as big or small as she wants. i know during some of the show she would tell the girls they had to watch their weight but she didn't. i actually saw a clip where she brought out the image they puffed up of her with her next to it. i think that there was a little bit added to her. i mean yeah she gained weight but she isn't this huge fat horrible person. she weighs 161 pounds now she says, heck i wish i was that small :)

Those girls were trying to break into the modeling industry. Tyra was simply preparing them. Tyra is retired from modeling. Who cares if she gains a few pounds. She's still hotter than anyone I know in person.

You've gotta get something right, Tyra is no longer a top model so she doesn't need to loose weight for no one. The girls she is talking to need to lose weight because there is no way they can make it in the modelling industry with any kind of weight.

I would have to answer 'no'. For models, work is tied to weight, like it or not. Hence all the problems many have had with eating disorders, etc. I would say that she is trying to prepare models for what they are going to encounter in the industry. She has even said during her career she has had designers complain about her gaining weight or that her body wasn't as slender as say - Kate Moss.
Tyra is no longer in that business. She is retired. She's now free to eat whatever she likes and doesn't have to try and maintain a weight goal in order to work. She's made her money and now can enjoy it. So I say - give the girl a box of Krispy Kremes!
What bugs me is that people have an unhealthy obsession with what celebrities wear, weigh and look like without the aid of a personal trainer or a graphic artist's help of the airbrush. The photos we see are retouched and no one's body is as perfect as it seems.

Tyra is already an established professional in her field and not a young girl trying to break into the business. On her show, she was just telling the girls what they are gonna be hearing a lot more of and prepping them for their possible future in modeling. Plus, modeling isn't an important part of her life anymore and basically she can live however she wants. Also, she is still fudgin' hot to me!

You actually watch & believe that stuff???? It's all for entertainment...Tyra tells the top model contestants they're fat, so that will elicit a response from you the viewer, so you'll watch again next week, see?
It's also sad that the media dictates what society views as 'good-looking'.

I never watched Top Model so I dont' know about what you said......I like Tyra's talk show.......I personally think its stupid that the media has to report on stupid stuff like that.....The media sucks.

well it's more so ironic. She was just telling the girls like it is in the industry, they have to be twigs but now that her career in modeling is over I guess she's making up for all the things she could never eat.
