He would be depicted as an idiot cowboy who disagreed with the majority of the american people. Believing that his way is the only acceptable means for the American people. Hey wake up and smell the coffee, 68% of the amercian people can't be wrong. he would be compared with Castro in terms of arrogance and attitude.

I would depict George W. Bush as a strong minded person who inherited a number of foreign policy problems that were side stepped by his predecessor and was not able to bring to a successful conclusion. He was a product of the political machine who either was misinformed, or mislead by key advisors, and agencies, mainly the CIA. He choose a strategy based upon the wrong information and the strategy justly failed in obtaining the objective, leaving him and the country in a delimea without a clear resolution.
He was justified in his decision to take military action in Afghanistan, he was justified in taking action in Iraq. But when the support of the UN could not be gained another plan of action should have been taken. He should have paid attention to a number a rule of stratagey.
Win your wars before you fight them.
GWB is basiclly a good person who took on a job greater than his capibilities to see it through.

One thing I would mention is that he seemed Presidential on 9/11 and 9/12 of 2001. I would also depict him and those in his Administration as incompetent and corrupt. I would probably describe him as the worst President the US has had up to that time. I doubt we will get a worse one. We have had bad ones in the past. There have been periods where we've had a few bad ones in a row.

Hard to say.
Remember, when Harry Truman left office in 1952, he couldn't have been elected dog catcher.
Most smart historians will wait 20 to 30 years for passions to cool down and try to look at his presidency objectively.

I would wait until the events of the day were...you know...history.
Even in Lincoln's day, Democrats called him a "baboon", much like they call Bush, today, a "chimp." So, for the most part, it is better to see how events sort themselves out, all historians engage in hindsight.

Remember Lincoln was the Most hated during his administration. Now he is 1 of the most loved.
The whole South Hated Him. Most in the North felt he caused the deaths of 100's of thousands of US Soldiers. His story and GW's seem very much the same. Both considered Monkeys.

He'll go down in history as "The Decider"
He made mostly bad decisions. I think he will be viewed as a Barbarian who invaded countries without thinking about the consequences specifically the Civil war that will likely ravage Iraq for years.

Much better than the blind haters view him, and worse than his most ardent believers view him.
The War on Terror will not be considered a wrong thing, because it will be viewed as the first major initiative against the growing threat of radical Islam.
I think the Democrats and liberals of this age would get much harsher treatment for their vicious and hate-filled words and actions.

I would leave it unopinionated and allow the reader to decide for themselves. I'll mention the Iraq War, of course. I think that alone would make future generations think pretty negatively of him. But, it's what they decide.
