A bowler found to have an illegal action can contest that decision by requesting a hearing of the ICC Bowling Review Group. The BRG decides on a majority vote whether to uphold or overturn the expert's decision, based on evidence and testimony presented at the meeting.
If the original decision is upheld the bowler is immediately suspended from international cricket until he or she can demonstrate that his or her action has been successfully remedied.
If the decision is overturned, the player can resume his/her international career.
