taxes are too high. they could make them lower if they spent the tax revenue more efficiently.
there should be taxes. to pay for police and the army and roads.
taxes are helpful. to pay.....
The problem is that our goverments are bloated with waste. We take in enough money to pay for all the things we really need. But we're also supporting a bunch of stupid programs that we don't really need and a lot of lazy government workers that we don't really need.
No filing your taxes: that is a pain. I'm glad I don't own a business or buy and sell a lot of stocks cause then it would be REALLY complicated.

By living in a society, we agree that there are certain responsibilities and costs that need to be shared by everyone. While we might disagree on some of the specific things that this covers, most people agree that roads, national security, schools, and care for the poorest among us are important functions that we, together as a community, must provide.
Towards that end, we pool our money and resources to provide these things. Towards this end, we elect goverment officials to oversee this. And while we might not agree with their specific decisions, we agree that they have been entrusted with this duty and so long as they are in office, we will abide by their decisions.
The taxes we pay go to support these initiatives. They pay for our clean water, our lighted roads, and our police and fire protection. While we might not want to pay taxes, we are getting a bargain. For such a small amount, we get sewers, public park land, ensurance that other people's cars are insured, and libraries. We get public art, highways, and jails to punish those who don't follow the rules. We fund universities to train those who will make things even better in the future.
It is this pooled resource, our taxes, that have moved us forward over the past 200+ years. Without the things our taxes support, we wouldn't have the infrastructure or educated people that make our lives so much better than those of our ancestors.
People who think taxes are wrong are shortsighted. Sure, you could have more money in your pocket if you didn't have to pay taxes. Well, at least for a few minutes. What would stop anyone from robbing you? And what would you spend it on if there were no roads to get to the stores?
When you think about it, the smaller portion of our paycheck that goes towards taxes really purchases so much more than the larger portion which we have to spend ourselves.

I am proud to live in America and feel it is a Right and Privilege to pay taxes. (Don't get me wrong, I think too much of that money is spent the wrong way and it makes me want to get involved in government more.)
I think that the Middle Class is being destroyed by the present tax plans put into place in the last 6 years. The middle class are paying the highest taxes in history.
I think that States need to be better regulated to make a more standard treatment of the poor and elderly.
Taxes are unavoidable.
