It was hard to get back on the dating game. I was completly clueless about what was appropriate or not, the rules have changed since the last time I dated. and I found it quite awkward to play the game after so long.
After the divorce, I had a lot of baggage and it was unfair to the people that I dated at the moment. I got attached easily and forgot how much it hurted to get "dumped" by your guy friend.
Luckily, I found love, true love. I know what I want and what I don't want in a relationship, so that saves a lot of time. I enjoy every minute of it and I'm confident and ahve shed all of my bagagge and princess'like behavior, Much better now.

Good luck

I have found it difficult even right now I just started seeing someone n it is hard to figure out when it's ok to even kiss.! night we cuddled and the next we didn't n in 1 wk he hasn't even tried to kiss me.I did tell him the first time before coming over that it would have to b with no expectations only bcuz we can find sex anywhere but I want more a relationship with it.It is nerve racking cuz I am soooo scared to make the first move.So ya I do understand what your saying with it being weird in a way getting back into bed with someone other then the person u r soooo use to.It only gets better cuz the less nervous u r the more u will get into it which only means that it will get better so think of it that way.Good luck n enjoy your new beginning.

you said love and divorce not sex and divorce.

Love was harder because you distrust more readily and always looking for little tell tale signs of cheating and lying from your new love. It is a strain on a new relationship.

Sex was easy, even though I found myself either comparing my new partner with the ex or letting myself loosen up and REALLY enjoy the new experience, it's really no different than the old saying, sex is like riding a bike, you never forget how

I was married for 15 years to a man who became abusive ....I got a divorce in 2000 it was soooooo hard even with the situation to move on.

It took me 2 years to even date and hard to trust again...........sex was strange with someone new but there was also the excitement of falling in love again and being with some one new...ya know =)

It was easy for me because of the situation that caused the divorce. But i had to learn to trust my new guy and to be sure he was not gonna take off and leave me like my ex did. We now have a great marriage and he is nothing like my ex at all! Sometimes it truley is better the second time around.

i found both difficult. I mean my ex husband was the only man i had ever been with so.. yeah sex was strange. But i was lucky to find a man who understood where i was coming from and allowed me to take my time with things.

as with Love. I find it really hard. I mean i am affaird to open up even with the guy i am seeing now. I guess i am affaird of being hurt again.

Married 3 times, divorced twice. Piece of cake. You're right, the adjustment period can be strange and likes and dislikes in the bedroom. Be careful to always marry girls with the same name. Just in case.

Listen to what the guys say... they are after one thing, and if you don't mind putting out like a vending machine and being used for a while, then you are good to go... sex isn't love and you need need to understand that.

I'm finding it hard. I don't trust anyone and I am also the mother on one son from the marriage and can't find a man who will commit to that scene.
