I work as a private tutor to students in their last year of school and at university, and I can tell you that it's entirely normal to feel like that. Lots of people are a bit scared about the idea of going to college, but once they get there they find out it's okay and not as hard as they thought. You just need to have a bit of faith in yourself. The lecturers and professors will know that you're nervous and inexperienced and will try to make things easy for you, especially at the start.
That said, if you're having doubts about college, take time to think about what you really want to do in life. Do you _need_ a degree? What kind of job would you get if you didn't go to college, and would that job make you happy? You shouldn't just go to college because it's expected of you; you should go because you want to learn and to spend more time in academia. If you think you'd enjoy that, go for it, but if you don't, then you should seriously consider what your other options are.

yes, it's normal. If you're not sure about college, take 1 or 2 courses at a community college to see if you can handle the work. You could get a job and do both, work and school. most college require basic math and English courses, so then if you did decide to go to a 4 year college, you could transfer your credits.

It's actually a normal feeling, cause when I'm at your stage I do have gone that certain feelings. But All I can say is that you just take it as another journey and a different trial to face to make you strong.. It do help you to be a better person..It does helps you to get more mature in defining certain decisions.. Good luck..!!

You just have a fear of the unknown. Most likely you'll do better than many others, because you'll study more than those that feel overly confident in their abilities. But don't "maybe" college. Just do it and you'll never regret it. It will help you for the rest of your life.

College isn't always about the education, it's about the socialization...Granted Education is your #1 Priority, if it's something you really want, you'll find a way to do it.
If you're unsure, you're not going to put forth the effort you need to get to where you want to be.
Ask yourself, do I want to work at McDonalds all my life? If the answer is no, bust your butt to get a degree.
