Jack Johnson was "discovered" by Ben Harper, so give some of Ben's albums a shot. "Fight for your Mind" is my personal fave. Not as cruisy as Jack, but much more musical depth.
Donavon Frankenreiter was one of Jack's surfing buddy's, with whom he started playing music. They have quite a similar style.

Slayer. For sure. The similarities between them and Jack Johnson are striking, especially in their use of acoustic guitars, and attention to melody / harmony.
