when my little brothers were younger (like 5 and 7 years old) my family was teaching them about stranger danger. we were telling them never to open the front door for anyone no matter what. so my parents went out one night and left my older brother and i home to babysit. so of course we got bored and decided to have a little fun. my older brother put on my dad's trenchcoat and ski mask and climbed out of the window and went around to the front door. i said i was going to the restroom and i'd be right back. so my older brother waits a few minutes and knocks on the front door. of course my little brother opens the door and there's my older brother all dresses up like a mass murderer and he runs into the house screaming. i thought i was going to have a heart attack from laughing so hard but i instantly felt bad becuase my little brothers just stood there, too scared to move or say anything. it definitely got the lesson across though.

just so you know my little brothers are 18 and 20 now and they seem to be okay. i'm sure one day they'll do something equally as horrible to my four year old son.

as an older sibling it is your job to do this...we told my brother we found him in a dumpster eating a rat. he cried as much as we laughed.

No I do not think this was harsh with all the missing kids that are being taken it was a great lession.

What a horrible life could your brother have lived if he like the boy in missouri was taken and forced to be the love slave of an adult man for the last 4 years.

It is a horrible fact that we now know all kids are not killed look at the Smart Girl and a couple of other that have been found having to be the sex slave of an adult for years

I say good job!

better to learn a lesson from you than to learn the hard way with a real stranger. now you just need to teach him that you will never ever do that again and if he opens the door again when he is not supposed to it will be a real stranger. if it ever happens with a real stranger he might think you are playing with him again and go with the stranger.

Maybe a little harsh, but as long as they aren't tramatized by it, i don't see any harm done. At least you got the message acrossed, and they will probably think before opening the door next time.
