Arkansas? You're kidding me. The Razorbacks snuck up on some good teams in the middle of the year, but by the end of the season they were a flash in the pan.

And the off season turmoil of that program practically guarantees mediocrity in the 07 season. So, nope.

I think USC, Wisconsin, Florida, or maybe Texas

I have to agree with Dawgmeat that it is a near impossible task to select the best team this early. But it's fun to speculate, ain't it? For my pick, I would choose USC only because they lost so few starters to the draft and they're picking up another dream freshman class. Their defense should be absolutely tremendous next year and their offense should rank in the top 25. That said, we can't ignore LSU, Florida, Wisconsin, Michigan, and a dark horse by the name of Texas.

ill let you know in early to mid January next year. anybody who claims to know who will be the best team in a season that hasnt even started yet doesnt know a damned thing about college football, or any other sport for that matter. hell, in 2003 Oklahoma was dubbed by the "experts" at ESPN as being the "greatest college football team EVER" ....... exactly one week before KSU beat the holy crap out of them, and for good measure .... LSU handed them their lunch in their very next game. even the "experts" couldnt get the best team right 11 games into the season ...... and to think some punks with a computer will be able to answer your question ..... LORDY !!!!!

and to the genius who answered that Ohio St is "always capable of running the table" ...... if thats so, then do you mind explaining to me why theyve only done it ONE TIME in the past THIRTY EIGHT years ??????????

LSU Tigers will be the best, those who doubt this b/c of the lose of Jamarcus, watch the LSU vs Miami bowl game so you can see Matt Flynn in action. SEC championship game will be LSU vs UF, the winner of that game will win it all against some cupcake (like Ohio State) hopefully the over-rated USC providing the BCS doesn't leave the SEC out like almost happened this year and did in 05!

USC has 10 starters returning on just the defenses side of the ball. Most key players on offense will be back. Look for the Trojans to win another National Title.

Michigan, due to the fact they are only losing a couple of starters to the draft. Henne,Hart,Long,Manningham. I could go on, but I think you got the point.------Next best team might be USC,depending if Pete Carrol stays or goes.

Florida. Defending champs with a BETTER starting QB than Leak, the number 1 recruiting class, a realatively easy schedule, what's going to stop them?

are you kidding me??? they lost mustain at qb and their top freshman wr, who is transferring to USC, their coaches are in shambles and the fans literally had a protest outside the school...dude you need to catch up on your football homework.

it will be USC...another TOP recruiting class in 07...so far today (national signing day) USC has signed 18 players with an average of 4.2 stars out of 5
