It's like 75% liberal outside of Fox news. You have to admit, there is never any great news about the Republican party on most news networks. And they love to hype the Democrats. If you follow the money trail, rich Democrats are funding the news organizations.

No, actually the media is made up from a squad of very conservative old ladies who want to make themselves look interesting. Most wear red hats with purple stretch pants so no one notices them. They have their grandsons and daughters front for them as they are out to change society but the old ladies really are the think tank behind it all. Bad press upset these gals? Not on your life. If you can start a war to get the price down on the gas for your Lincoln town car, you can handle a few mouthy reporters who try to get in your way. They have clandestine meeting places in churches across America where they plot out how to get total control, not only of the Sr. Centers in America but also the media. It's alway the ones you would suspect last that can cause the most trouble. Do you actually think all these cars crashing through the front of your local fast food joint are accidents? No, they are to take out grandkids that have become dicipline problems. If you would research this fully, you would be very surprised to know everyone hurt in these "accidents" has a grandmother. Do you call that an accident or breeding correction? Do you ever see anything in the press negative to the grandmothers. I don't think so. Would you like to end your life being dragged under the grill at McDodo's? If I were you, I would not let your grandma know you even asked this question. Now, sit up straight and behave and don't embarrass her more than you did when you dated that scum. And remember, your turn with the purple stretch pants is still ahead of you.

There are media outlets that lean one way or another. Fox Noise channel is one. However I believe most news media slants are either very slight or non-existant. The party in power generally paints the new media as biassed the other way whenever the media reports negative stories. In this case we have been hearing increasingly about the liberal media bias for six years now.
If the media is doing it's job neither party will be happy.

Part of it depends on your perspective. When the media uses the term pro choice, conservatives feel that the media is calling them anti choice, and therefore the bias is liberal. When the media uses the term war on christmas, liberals feel that the media is not focusing on making the holidays more inclusive and is therefore too conservative.

The media is the tool of liberals and people who work in the media and advertising are very good at stretching the truth and taking certain liberties with the facts.

How much have you heard about Obama, Edwards? How much have you heard about Mitt Romney and Tom Tancredo? Matt Lauer called Edwards a superstar??? The next time someone in the mainstream media call a Republican a superstar, will be the first, MAYBE on Fox.

A "little bit" of bad press? Honey, I don't know where you've been, but Republicans and conservatives have been under attack for the last (at least) twenty years. As far back as I can remember, being conservative and/or Republican has not been the popular choice.
You can draw your conclusion from that.

What is considered the "mainstream media" is overwhelmingly liberal. When 89% of them vote for the Democrat candidate again and again, you see a pattern arise.

actually, the media usually follows the general feel of the government in power, so i would say at this point they are more conservative...
but why bother with the media? it's all powered by the rich and powerful anyway, not like it's supposed to be, powered by truth.
