Any reading that is compensated in any way, is tainted. . . especially one done for yourself. Therefore, it is close to impossible to do any scrying or tarot work without some taint creeping in.

Fortune tellers are real. The problem we have as society is that even if we are not christians, we are born with the christian mentality. So a small part of us always believes it. Now, witches and fortune tellers are talked about in the bible as it says we are not to believe in it. Making it true in the bible. The book of psalms was written by David 700 years before Jesus was born. In psalms, David predicted everything about Jesus. But this was justified because the fortune telling was in favor of God and Jesus. Everyday people have the ability to tell the future. Preminitions, insights to things that will happen. If they immidiately think this is just a coincidence, they will stop having these preminitions.

I don't know if I should believe it or not. But, I was once pay this old man, who is quite well-known for his fortune telling, to tell about my future. He told me to be careful with my throat, and the next day I woke up with a sore throat. He also guessed my past, such as how my life was when I was younger, how my parents raised me, etc. He even knew that my mom is from another country! He told me about my personality and it was all right. He told me to be careful when I'm driving my car and not so long after that I had a little accident.

The reason why they don't get rich is because, according to that old man, when a person decided to learn more deeply about predicting the future of others, that person cannot be successful in business. When he/she gets in business, it would be most likely to fail. So, he/she should depend on fortune-telling for his/her living.

I don't know whether this is true or not, but I do believe that some people are truly gifted with a special ability like fortune-telling.

One more thing, my mom was once called by a blind old man on the street. It was in China and my mom was pregnant. And so, the man took my mom's hand and told her: "You could have had four children, but unfortunately we are here in China (where a family is only allowed to have one child)" Then my mom said that what he had said was true, she was having her fourth children (We don't live there). The man was a bit shocked, and said that the fourth one would be a baby girl. Guess what? Several months later, my only little sister was born.

If they had the power to predict the future, why aren't they rich.
They should be able to pick their own lottery numbers or next stock that will increase.
Do you believe they can only predict for other people and not themselves?
At best it's a good guess. Most times they come up with 5 or 10 things and some happen and others don't turn out.

Some are very good at reading people (body language, blinking etc.) They will say something and depending on how you react they might change their focus.
Ex: I see sickness (most families have some type of it) etc.

Good entertainment at best
