Do rich liberals pay more taxes than rich conservatives?

Do rich liberals voluntarily give more money int he form of taxes to the government, or do they just pray and hope that the government will force them to pay more?

It's not about wealth accumulation on an individual basis or a single group paying their "fair share" based on someones notion of what's fair. Statistics covering the entire 300 million citizens give us indications of how our economic system is working for the 5 separate classes of people in our country from the bottom 20% to the top 20%. Net Worth (Share of our country's wealth broken down by quintile) 2010 Upper class: 86% Upper middle class: 10% Middle class, working class and poverty class combined: 4% (I don't remember the figures for 1980 but the upper class was between 50 and 60 percent) Income (top management vs. average pay) 1979: 40 times average pay 2009: 300 times average pay What's happening to the middle class and below is threatening to destabilize our consumer oriented market economy. The working class has descended into the ranks of the poverty class due to the meltdown of our economy. The people complaining most about the high numbers of Americans needing government assistance are the same people who crashed the economy along with the ones that shipped the jobs overseas. That's just arrogant or brazen, I'm not sure which but either way their behavior disproves a basic tenet of laissez faire. Just as the Great Depression caused Frederic Hayek to recant to some extent, had Milton Friedman lived just a few more years, he would be scolding our upper class.

Rich liberals tend to live in northern states with higher taxes, so they usually pay more. But if you figure cost of living and salaries, it's about the same ratio of taxes to earnings. I don't think anyone hopes and prays the government will force them to pay more (that's just stupid).

I doubt it. But there seems to be a difference between the two. Rich liberals seem to generally come from old money, money earned by their parents or grandparents. Rich conservatives seem to have self made fortunes.
I think that goes a long way as to explain who might have the most common sense.

Define taxes. My Local, State and property taxes went up under Bush not down. Clinton said this "my conservative friends have given me more in Federal tax cuts than I ever got under Democrats. Thanks friends." Clinton gets $250,000 for each 30 mins. he speaks and Hillary is also a multi-million air. Bill Gates is the worlds richest Democrat. He now pays no taxes at all. The Gates family gives away most of that wealth. Oprah, a Democrat the worlds richest woman, pays no taxes at all. She also gives away most of her wealth. Gates and Oprah will both back Hillary Clinton in 2008.

Rich liberals are hypocrits, they'll tell you to save energy while they use four air conditioning units in their house. They'll tell you to drive fuel effecient cars to stop the production of global warming after they fly their private jets across the world. They'll talk about stopping huge corporations while at the same time start a multi million dollar business of their own, so it doesn't surprise me.

Do you like sending your kids to die for no reason other than oil company profits?

Are you sending your kids to join the military, or do you just hope a Draft will be enacted to force them to go?

Whether they're conservative or liberal, the real question is whether if you cut their tax rates they would take the initial tax savings and bury them in the back yard or spend or invest them, thereby creating jobs?
