The Dallas Mavericks are at this point. Not only in their record, but the fact that they have already beaten Phoenix twice this year. As of now the Suns have not done well against the better teams in the west. (I.E. the Mavs, Spurs, And Jazz) The Mavericks have had a few losses, but have avenged every single one they have had the chance to.

The Dallas Mavericks because they have shown so much improvement in such a short time. They are the most consistent winning team. Forget about winning streaks, they have more wins period. They have the best record in the nba, a good, well rounded offense and a strong defense. If i had to pick it would be Dallas are NBA champs this year. That's how they are playing.

It is defintely the Dallas Mavericks. They are such a complete team with so much depth. I mean look at their numbers......
5 players are averaging more then 10 points a game.(Nowitzki: 24.9, Howard: 19.5, Terry: 16.0, Stackhouse: 11.0, Harris: 10.5)
Only 4 players average less then 10 mins a game, so this means nobody gets too tired. Oh yea, They also have the best record in the NBA. Its clearly the Mavericks

the suns are the most talented club in the league (i also think their defense is underated) but their rotation only goes 7 deep. after those 7 players,the talent falls off drastically. the mavs on the other hand, are the deepest team from 1-12, as proven by bench warmer austin croshere a couple of nights ago as he exploded for 34 pts! i mean, which team in the NBA has a 12th man who can go off for 34 in a game?!

It has to be the Suns, 2 times this year they've made a run at 20 plus wins. Steve Nash keeps that team running like a well oiled machine, and with him at point guard, they are never out of a game. Not to mention they some of the top athletes in the league, with barbosa, marion, and stodemire. If they don't win the championship this year it's no one's fault but their own

Phoenix Suns because they have played a great up-tempo style with a great general point guard Steve Nash leading the team. Their teamworks also has been very good.
