I'm about to take over someone lease for four bedrooms apartment. I already move some of my stuff in the apartment (by law, they're require to keep my things for at least 30 days before they can evict me). There's three tenants on the lease but none live at the apartment. One already paid for their lease until end of it. Other one is signing it over to me. Other tenant was paying until December. So there's a late fee and payment still to be owe.

So the landlord say I cannot sign lease until they get it sort out. I already speak to all tenants and one of their cosigner. They all are about to come up with a deal among themselve. So I know it'll be taken care of by end of this week.

I already told the landlord this. However she keep try to dodge all questions I asked unless I cornered her and force her to answer. When I did, she would give me answer that I want to hear but nothing good enough to be secure. She's basically vague enough to make it difficult for me to prove anything by

her words.

Here's a example:
I asked her about written permission to sublet two or three available rooms. She say I would have to discuss that with person who will sign lease over to me. I asked her what if I end up sign the lease? She was like "oh that's not necreassay, I can help you find a roommate to move in with" I told her "I DONT want to move in with someone else I want to sign the lease!" she was like "you'll haveto talk to other tenants" I told her they all say I could rent out rooms if I want to. She was like oh you would have to discuss it with them. Finally she say "ok let me know how apt is doing" At this point I WANT to toss her facefirst through glass window!!!

What should I do? SHe is like this with EVERY single things!

Right now, she can tell you whatever she wants, because you are not the responsible tenant.

It sounds like you're getting the runaround. I wouldn't trust this woman. And I think that you ought to get a lease for yourself only. You're putting your trust out there and your friends aren't coming through. This could result in a bad situation that I know you wouldn't want to be a part of. Get out now while you can.

Be very careful. She owes you no loyalty. you at the instant are not an certainly tenant via fact you at the instant are not on the hire, whether or no longer it has already been paid for. she will "evict" you via fact you do no longer certainly stay there. i might enable time for each little thing to get regarded after out earlier I have been given caught interior the middle. you would be able to finally end up costing your self greater time and hardship interior the long-term yet having to go assorted cases or paying heavy subleasing costs that are in all probability reported interior the unique hire signed via your friends.

It kinda seems like you came along an accident scene on the road and decided that you wanted to run your car into the wrecked cars to get in on the fun of being in the accident!

The whole situation is screwed up. Run away from it as fast as you can. Why would you want to get yourself involved in this mess?

Let her know that she's not being clear and keep bothering her until she gives you the answer you need. Plus, when you talk to her, let her know how you feel. Emotional crap works most of the time on females.

She sounds "money hungry" like most landlords. They will

take ALL your money if you let them.

PS - After they take ALL your money, they will take you to

court to get more, and leave it on your credit report for l0 years.

Forget the place. If she's doing this now, just imagine the crap that'll pile up later. Your call!
