What happens if you stop taking the birth control pill but your period doesn't resume?
When you stop using the birth control pill but you don't get a period for several months, you may have what's known as post-pill amenorrhea. The pill prevents your body from making hormones involved in ovulation and menstruation. When you stop taking the pill, it can take some time for your body to return to normal production of these hormones.
Typically, your period should start again within three months after you stop taking the pill. Most women ovulate promptly and have a period within four to six weeks. But some women, especially those who took the pill to regulate their menstrual cycles, may not have a period for many months.
If you don't have a period within three months, take a pregnancy test to make sure you're not pregnant. If after six months you still don't have a period, see your doctor.

Your body might take some time to regulate from being on birth control especially if you were on it a long time or were irregular before going on it. If the tests came out neg and your that worried about it, go get checked out. Since you got the Guardasil vaccine, there may be some side effects of that injection. Read up on the patient information given to you. Any other questions, feel free to call the doctors office where you got the vaccine.

Did you ask your doctor about the missed periods when you went in for the shot? It is possible that the missed periods are due to stopping the birth control, it takes your body some time to readjust. Sounds like you are having an adverse reaction to the shot-- call your doctor to see if it is normal and see if there is anything you can do about it. Also, if you did not already, ask your doc about the missed periods, she may want to do some tests.

You need to go back to the doctor. I don't know about the Guardasil, but you can have negative at-home pregnancy tests and still be pregnant.

I would talk to your doctor about not having a period. Ask her to do a blood test to confirm you arent pregnant. Not sure about your vaccine. Vac's put nasty things into your body so Im sure thats whats making you feel bad. Your doc should have told you the side effects.

It's not normal for you to not have a period for so long ~ assuming you're an adult. Your doctor needs to figure this one out for sure. Your hormones are really off balance.
