when they get caught they don't want people to recognize them if you got busted and they showed you on tv would want your family and friends to see you on TV?

I think it's because they're embarassed. Either that or they don't want a lot of camera flashes going off right in their eyes.

It's interesting isn't it? All the criminals who think they are so tough and then they're caught and ashamed of what they did. I think that's it...shame.
