I have an idea of how I want to paint my car but I'm not sure how I should go about doing it. I want to paint it black with pink chameleon like tint to it. Any suggestions on where I should take it and what type of paint I should use?

I'm sorry I forgot to mention that this is a project car, not my primary transportation. Also this is something I have been wanting to do for a long time and I actually have the money to do what I want so I will...I thought this was supposed to be for people to help eachother out, not be imature and talk trash...By the way I am a girl...

Chameleon paints are very special paints that reflect different colors depending on your viewing angle to the car. These kinds of paints are best left to the professionals since they require the surface to be flawless in order to look right.
I think a pink tinted black pearl might do what you want. You'll want to use a true pearl paint which is very expensive. If the painter offers a less expensive version it is probably a pearlescent which is not the same thing. A pearlescent paint is a metallic with a similar-to-pearl appearance. Pearlescent paint is common among car manufacturers who list pearl colors.
You can tell them apart fairly easily, especially on a sunny day.
If you look at a car where the paint looks kinda pearly/slightly iridescent check it out from different angles. If the paint shines a different color, usually orangish or pinkish if the paint is white, then you are looking at a true pearl. If it looks pearly but doesn't have the iridescent appearance as mentioned previously you are looking at a pearlescent.
Keep in mind what you are asking is most likely going to be a custom job which will be very expensive. If it gets scratched or ever needs repairs it will hit you hard...right in the pocketbook.
Since this paint job will be expensive I suggest you take your car to a custom painter rather than Maaco. Custom painters do charge more but I think you'll find they will do a much better job. Hot rodders and custom car enthusiasts have their cars painted by custom painters unless they opt to do it themselves. If you need help selecting a painter maybe you could visit a car show for these types of cars, talk to them on a forum, etc in order to get some ideas of what to look for.

Sweetie? All that outside paint and woo woos mean nothing. You need to pay attention to how your car is going to suit your needs. Certain flashy paintjobs just get the attention mainly from those whose attention you are not seeking, i.e....law enforcement , your girlfriend who knows you are out with the ex? Be subdued and discreet and save your money for any repairs or tires or sheepskins ...or a new blasting *** Kenwood with those big 10" woofers and if you are really discreet, your ex may not hear you driving on down the road.

Pleeze, think about whatever investment you make on your car...ok? Here goes...

If you end up in a pileup..your fault or not...(your insurance company will not honor what you think the value is) your car and it's paint job will only be a memory that nobody will believe anyway unless you have proof...lol! :) And even then, you still won't get what it is worth. Drive your unpainted junker until it dies and save your hard earned money so that when you meet the girl of your dreams...you will have enough money to buy her a beautiful 1 karat ring and a new car!!!!!

I would recommend painting the car black, and have them use a bit of paint mixed into the top coat, which would give the car a light tint of pink. They may put it in the actual clearcoat. Either way, its going to be expensive, and should anyone ever scratch it, it will cost a fortune to fix and blend.
