Your instinct that a ring after only 2 weeks of dating is too early is right on the mark. Slow down! How about a gift that shows love, like making her dinner or taking her out to her favorite place? Maybe flowers delivered to her work or school? A CD of her favorite group? In college a man once made me a card from construction paper and lopsided cut-out hearts and his own poem, bought me a gas station rose, and made me chocolate chip cookies (my absolute fav!) just shortly after we started dating. A couple years later, he presented me an engagement ring and the timing felt just right. Get to know her and all she stands for before giving her a ring of any sort. A ring is a SIGNIFICANT step in a relationship and should not be given so soon. Bon chance!

that is really sweet that you want to make such a bold statement to show your girlfriend that you love her. however, i suggest that you hold off on the ring for just a wee bit longer. someone once told me that you never really know a person until about 24 months (not to say that you'll know everything abou them, but by then you'll have a GENERAL idea of what they are like). i say you take this valentines day and DO something that both of you enjoy, but will give you an opportunity to get to know her better or in a different light. so for example, if you guys usually go to all the "usual" places for a date, this valentine's day be creative and take her somewhere you guys don't normally go, but you know is interesting to her. i think she would appreciate that much more....then in time if she is looking to be someone you want to spend more time with and you want them in your life longer, then give her the ring. just my suggestion--hope it helps!

I think a ring is too soon. Try going to www.womenshelp.net for some great inexpensive and unique Valentine day gifts. They have a bunch of cool links for great gift items. I know it sounds like a generic answer but they just have too many links too mention.

the ring is only going to show materialism,so you can give it either now or later it doesn't really matter what you want her to know is how much you care for her right ?well if she doesnt know how much you love her bytelling her i love you from your heart trust me your ring will be a beaoutiful thing for her to wear but your feelings for her is something she totally dont pay attention to .the expresion of love doesnt have the value of money

I think it would be perfectly normal. I wouldnt get her one to fit her little baby finger, though. Get one she can either wear on a necklace or bracelet until she gets older, and then she can wear it on her finger. As she gets older, she'll cherish it more and more.
