i am 28 and am considering online classes to start. what classes should i or do i need to go for an how long does it take? I do not know where to begin, have never gone to college or taken classes online so i dont even know how that works.

Do you think you can get your bachelors? I'd really try for it, because then you can apply to the ABA approved law schools. Going to an ABA approved school will make your life easier.

If not, then you're looking at non-ABA approved schools. Some may take you even if you don't have a bachelors. There are tons of law students pumped out every year. Your school's rep is going to be so low, it's going to be real rough getting a job afterwards.

Anyways, the steps to become a lawyer are to do undergrad, then go to law school. Getting a bachelors typically takes 4 years if you go full time. Law school is another 3 years. Then, you take the Bar exam for the state you want to practice in. Age wise, don't worry about it. I had people who were clearly 50+ in my law school. They did fine.

First you have to take a bachelor degree.It can be in Business administration,political science,history or any field that you are interested in.Then you apply for law school.
